AG Capital held its Аnnual Gala on Monday, April 3, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency in Sofia, to celebrate the results of a remarkable and successful year of 2022.
The evening brought together AG Capital’s management and our key long-standing partners – investors, bank representatives, audit teams, lawyers and architects.
In his welcome speech Christo Iliev made an overview of the 2022 results, revealing a year of success to be proud of, despite the robust challenges the world has seen in the last twelve months – the war in Ukraine, rising inflation and fear of recession.
He spoke on the achievements of AG Capital’s portfolio companies in attracting new investments, clients and their latest projects. Mr. Iliev also highlighted the group’s strategic agenda and ambition on what lies ahead in the upcoming year, new projects and further expansion of operations in the CEE region.
He thanked everyone for their consistent dedication, hard work and valuable contribution to the company’s success.
“There are just a few figures I would like to mention, that are more than eloquent:
● We have 500 M Euro assets under management.
● For a second consecutive year, our profit has hit a new record.
● We have raised our capital by over 15%.
This leaves us with a significant amount of free capital on an active market and we will be considering our new opportunities carefully”, said Mr. Iliev in his opening address.
Christo Iliev also congratulated our guests from Address on their very special 30th anniversary in real estate and the admirable accomplishments of their teams spanning across three decades. Mr. Iliev was the initial founder of the Address Real Estate company back in 1993. In 2020 AG Capital’s real estate advisory and brokerage operations were united in a new business structure under the Realto Group brand, with Address now being ranked top leader in the real estate sector with a network of 600 consultants, covering offices in 25 cities.
The event programme continued with a motivational talk with our guest speaker and current Cabinet Member, Mr. Atanas Pekanov – Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds Management. Mr. Pekanov took questions in a candid conversation on work, success and the challenges young people face when building a career or a business nowadays.
The AG Capital Annual Gala is a staple event in our corporate calendar. Organised in a seated dinner format, the Gala is always a fantastic opportunity for our management to get together with colleagues and partners in an atmosphere of fine dining and networking.
This was our first Gala since 2019, the event having been put on hold during the pandemic period. It was a memorable evening of connection and celebration, enjoyed together with everyone involved in a year of hard work and success. We are already looking forward to the next one.
