AG Capital’s Аnnual Gala was held on February 6, 2024 at the Hilton Hotel in Sofia. We took the honour of welcoming over 160 guests to this year’s red carpet event, to celebrate the successful results of a memorable year of 2023.
Our Аnnual Gala marked a perfect opportunity to get together in an exclusive setting with our management, clients and key long-standing partners. Special guests to join the event were IFC (part of World Bank Group), Old Mutual Property, Mitiska Reim and bank representatives, lawyers, partners from the IT sector, Realto Group, business organisations, HR professionals and Ms. Renske Vos, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i, at the South African Embassy to Bulgaria.
Christo Iliev, Executive Chairman of AG Capital, welcomed our guests and delivered the keynote speech. His Creating Future Growth address reviewed our excellent annual results, having once again made our company to be associated with success. He highlighted the growth achievements of our teams in terms of new assets under management, new projects launched and completed, new lease contracts and extensions agreed, and lifted the curtain on strategic initiatives coming up in 2024.
A special accent in his presentation were 3 eloquent figures that AG Capital has managed to impress with over the 12-month period, on 3 different markets:
- AG Capital’s assets under management increased up to 600 M Euro recording a 20% annual growth.
- For a third consecutive year, our sales resulted in over 100 M Euro.
- We leased over 85 000 sqm of office area on two highly competitive markets.
He also thanked the management of our companies, all our business partners and colleagues for making 2023 an exceptional business year with their valuable contribution and dedication.
Chrsito Iliev took the opportunity to present Lahlou Khelifi – recently appointed Non-Еxecutive Мember at AG Capital’s Advisory Board. With his over 30 years of experience in Real Estate and Finance, the INSEAD Professor, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking presentation on Real Estate Transition.
The evening programme culminated with a fantastic motivational interview between the leading journalist and TV host Svetoslav Ivanov and Bulgaria’s outstanding chess phenomenon, International Master, Woman Grandmaster and 2023 World Cup Finalist, Nurgyul Salimova. They talked about how today’s world resembles a game of chess, which calls for seeing the big picture several moves ahead, and on what it takes to be successful – a question that never comes with an easy answer. Following their candid talk, Christo Iliev joined Nurgyul Salimova on stage to play a chess opening with a couple of moves together.
