Pavlin Petkov is an accomplished executive leader with over 25 years of international experience across the US, Western and Eastern Europe. His career spans senior roles in private equity, insurance, banking, and pension fund management, combining strategic insight with operational excellence.
Most recently, Pavlin spent eight years as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Board Member of Allianz Bulgaria, where he oversaw €5 billion in assets and more than doubled operating profit through strategic transformation, disciplined capital management and growth initiatives. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Allianz’s global headquarters in Munich, Axxess Capital Private Equity, Kaolin, as well as at Lehman Brothers, PwC and the Bulgarian National Bank.
Pavlin brings to AG Capital a distinctive combination of board-level perspective, investment expertise and hands-on execution. His track record includes major capital raisings, M&A, restructuring and partnership building, consistently delivering results in complex and competitive environments.
He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in International Economic Relations from the University of National and World Economy. He is a CFA charter-holder, a Fellow of ACCA, and is fluent in English, German, Italian and Russian.
