This award marks a significant milestone for the first logistics development in Romania under Lion’s Head, AG Capital’s dedicated industrial and logistics platform, and serves as a wonderful recognition of the vision, planning, and hard work behind the project.
We are particularly pleased to see the development recognised among some of the region’s leading projects, especially in a year when the awards attracted a record-breaking 250+ nominations across the real estate sector. Lion’s Head Logistics Park Bucharest South was selected among the four finalists in its category before taking home the top prize on the night of October 20, 2026.
The prestigious award was proudly accepted by Alina Necula, Country Manager Romania of Lion’s Head, joined on stage by Vladimir Gurdjieff, Director Logistics & Industrial properties of Lion’s Head, and Valentin Rosu, Construction Director for Romania of Park Lane Developments.
The Journey Behind Lion’s Head Logistics Park Bucharest South
This award arrives at an exciting phase in the project’s evolution. As Lion’s Head Logistics Park Bucharest South approaches its operational phase, it is officially welcoming its first tenants and progressing into its next phase of development.
This project builds upon AG Capital’s strategic shift towards industrial and logistics assets across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) under the Lion’s Head Logistics Platform. This direction progressed through the acquisition of three EDGE-certified logistics parks in Sofia, Varna, and Ruse, establishing the foundation for our landmark expansion into the Romanian market.
Supported by a major €150 million investment from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) across Romania and Bulgaria, the platform’s regional portfolio has now expanded to over 170,000 sqm of Gross Lettable Area (GLA) across four premier logistics parks, further strengthening the region’s green warehousing infrastructure.
The groundbreaking ceremony for Lion’s Head Logistics Park Bucharest South took place on 12 November 2025, marking the official start of Lion’s Head’s inaugural logistics project in Romania, representing an 85,000 sqm site located in Popești-Leordeni, Bucharest, in a €65 million investment.
Less than a year later, the park has rapidly been transformed into a premier regional hub, powered by smart technology and innovation, designed to be highly adaptable to modern market demands while remaining future-proof for technological integrations.
Certified under EDGE Buildings for sustainable construction, a global green building standard verified by GBCI that recognises resource-efficient buildings reducing energy, water, and embodied carbon by at least 20%, Lion’s Head Logistics Park Bucharest South was also named Best Warehouse Project at the SEE Real Estate Awards prior to securing this latest honour.
