BLD New

AG Capital is proud to announce that Uptown Square by BLD has won 3 recognitions at the International Property Awards (IPA) 2026. The landmark project was distinguished in Residential High Rise Architecture – Bulgaria, alongside securing two honours for Mixed Use Development, claiming top recognition for both Bulgaria and a nomination for the Europe category, underscoring its exceptional design and development standards.

The accolades were officially presented during the IPAX European & African Property Awards gala ceremony held on October 22, 2026, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. Representing BLD, Nevena Gadjeva and Nina Nikolova received the distinguished honours, together with David Correia from E8 Architecture London and Kremena Nikolova from Atelier Serafimov Architects Ltd.

A Visionary Micro-City with Unmatched Amenities

Designed as a modern micro-city in Sofia by Atelier Serafimov Architects Ltd., in collaboration with the London-based E8 Architecture studio, BLD’s Uptown Square comprises six buildings, including three 21-storey towers, that host 438 residences and 29 retail units centered around a vibrant inner square. Inspired by world-class urban developments like New York’s Central Park and London’s Marylebone Square, the project seamlessly merges international design standards with the historic heritage of its local site – Sofia’s historic bread plant.

Guided by the 15-Minute City philosophy, its open-concept master plan integrates premium homes with essential everyday services, shops, and public green spaces within effortless walking distance. Ultimately, the development comes to offer a complete lifestyle ecosystem where residents, professionals, and visitors can live, work, and thrive with a true sense of belonging.

The complex boasts an admirable array of amenities around its open central Square, including 5,000 sqm of retail space, an on-site kindergarten, and immediate access to Sofia’s premier business hub, transport links, and key urban necessities. Functioning as a vibrant cultural hub, the central Square has been designed to host year-round curated art installations and performances, seamlessly bridging upscale living with community and sustainable convenience.

AG Capital extends its warmest congratulations to our colleagues from BLD and the entire team behind Uptown Square, whose vision and constant pursuit of excellence have made this remarkable achievement possible.
