In early February, Sofia hosted the 19th edition of AG Capital’s most prominent annual event, the 2026 Annual Gala. Upholding its storied red-carpet tradition, the event celebrated a landmark year of 2025, defined by exceptional growth and Group achievements.
Amidst an atmosphere of celebration of shared success, AG Capital’s Senior Management took the pleasure of welcoming our partners, clients, bankers, auditors, lawyers, architects, builders and management teams from Bulgaria, Poland, Romania, Great Britain, Belgium, Austria, France, Dubai, Greece, to the elegant evening dinner at the Sofia Balkan Palace.
Opening the evening programme, Christo Iliev, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of AG Capital, extended a warm welcome to the guests: “We have made it a wonderful tradition, each year in the beginning of each February, to celebrate what has been achieved over the past year and to outline opportunities for new projects together.”
He then passed the floor to Pavlin Petkov, CEO and Member of the Board of Directors, who delivered a presentation on the Group’s achievements over the past year, and outlined the new projects and partnerships that lie ahead in 2026. His presentation highlighted several key milestones, framing 2025 as a defining year in our Group’s growth:
- AG Capital’s assets under management have reached 800 million Euro, with 2025 having added over 100 million Euro to our portfolio (over 15% up compared to the previous year).
- We now have 490,000 sqm of new living, logistics and retail space, currently under construction.
- Our platforms are present with teams and offices in 3 countries: Bulgaria, Romania and Poland, and we also have representation in Dubai and Berlin.
- Together with Realto Group, our team has grown to over 1000 people.
His address included a detailed review of key projects and strategic partnerships across all AG Capital platforms. Throughout his overview, he paid tribute to the dedicated teams whose pivotal contributions have been the driving force behind our success and continued innovation.
Pavlin Petkov also announced several new partnerships and projects that are already starting within the Group and will be further developed in 2026, and introduced the latest brands and platforms that became an integral part of AG Capital in 2025 – Power Loop, ESTREA, Lion’s Head Logistics Parks (BPD), Lion’s Head’s Logistics Park Bucharest, UPTOWN Square, LIVIO, Ivory.
He emphasised the critical role of continuous professional development, highlighting the international executive education and certification programmes undertaken by AG Capital’s management over the past year in top global business schools.
“Finally, I would like to thank each one of you, our valued colleagues and partners, for our collective achievements during this past year. I wish you every success, as we embark on our new projects together.”, said Pavlin Petkov, closing his keynote address.
The programme continued with an inspiring, heartfelt conversation on the lifelong capital that words can bring, between presenter Dessie Stoyanova and Bulgaria’s most beloved and celebrated contemporary writer, Georgi Gospodinov. As one of our most refined storytellers of modern times, Georgi Gospodinov exemplifies the art of narrative and the precision of beautiful language. With works translated into over 20 languages and taught at leading universities worldwide, he is recognised as a global literary icon. His numerous accolades notably include the prestigious International Booker Prize for his acclaimed “Time Shelter” novel.
As the memorable evening drew to a close, guests enjoyed the exclusive opportunity to engage in a personal conversation with the author and had his latest novel “Death and the Gardener” signed for them, while an array of tempting desserts and fine wines were served within the sophisticated ambiance of the lounge.
